Educational Series: What is lymphedema

Lymphedema is an under-recognized and under-diagnosed chronic disease that if not caught early could lead to a reduced quality of life. My goal as a certified lymphedema therapist is to spread awareness and offer my help with treatment. Listen in:



Here is an example of a before and after picture of someone I personally treated suffering from bilateral lower extremity lymphedema. Being a certified lymphedema therapist is something I take alot of pride in. It is something that requires clinical reasoning and is hardly even black and white. Sometimes it takes trial and error and patience to overcome.


Lymphedema comes in many shapes and sizes. It can be the head/neck, the trunk, the genitals, the arms and/or the legs. Early detection and treatment is key to success. It is by no means a passive process and requires commitment on behalf of the patient/client. If you are willing to tackle it, so am I!!
